The policing of a free, diverse
and vibrant society is an awesome and complex task. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department is
charged with responsibilities that rank second to none in importance in our
democratic society. The Sheriff’s
Department service is that branch of government that is assigned the awesome
task of security compliance with the multitude of laws and regulations deemed
beneficial to society. Since law is
society’s means of achieving performance to desired norms, the Sheriff’s
Department is society’s agents for the maintenance of harmony within the
county.

County Board Chairman.
